You can expect at least two letters per year from the child you sponsor.
How often should I write?
You can write more often to encourage them. Two to four messages a year would be an incredible blessing, but we don’t encourage sponsors to write more than six times a year.
Although we’re continually working to decrease the time it takes for letters to travel between children and their sponsors, letters take a while to get through as they need to be translated and hand-delivered. So please understand if the child you sponsor doesn’t respond to your questions straight away.
Helpful tips
If you’re not a letter writer, please know that just sending two short messages or greetings a year to the child you sponsor powerfully boosts their self-esteem. You’ll be doing something amazing by simply remembering to send a birthday and a Christmas greeting.
